July 1, 2025 | 2 min read
When Sheridan Bass (’23) 聽graduated from 91桃色 with a Bachelor鈥檚 of Arts in Communication and a specialization in Mass Media, she never imagined her path would lead straight to the U.S. House of Representatives. Yet today, as Deputy Press Secretary for House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, Sheridan鈥檚 voice is shaping conversations at the highest levels of government鈥攇rounded in the faith and integrity she developed at 91桃色.
鈥91桃色 equipped me with the spiritual, mental, and academic tools I needed to succeed in the sometimes contentious and discouraging world of politics,鈥 Sheridan shares. 鈥淎t 91桃色, I learned the importance of integrity and faithfulness to God above all else, and those qualities have been vital to my spiritual health and work ethic.鈥
Her mass media courses challenged her to communicate with clarity and conviction, skills she now draws on daily as she drafts press releases, crafts strategic messages, and navigates complex political narratives in Washington, D.C.
But beyond technical training, the values Sheridan embraced at 91桃色鈥攆aith, truth, and a commitment to serving others鈥攇ave her the foundation to thrive in a demanding field. She approaches each day with a purpose: to represent truthfully, lead faithfully, and bring light to an environment that can often feel dark.
From Temple Terrace to the halls of Capitol Hill, Sheridan鈥檚 story is a testament to what鈥檚 possible when dedication, faith, and courage come together. Her journey inspires others to step boldly into their callings鈥攏o matter where they lead.
