• Complete Intent to Graduate form
• You must participate and walk in the graduation ceremony
• Submit Intent to Graduate Form to the Office of the Registrar by February 15

Diplomas

• All diplomas will be mailed to students who qualify. Your degree will be updated on your transcript within days and can be requested for job or school transfer purposes. If you have not received your diploma in three to four weeks after, please contact the office of the Registrar.

Graduation Honors

• Traditional Latin graduation honors are announced for baccalaureate graduates at the commencement exercises and are calculated based on all grade points and credits taken at 91桃色 and recorded on the student鈥檚 permanent record, including the final semester鈥檚 work. To be eligible for these honors, a student must be able to participate in graduation exercises and must have upheld the spirit of the College.
  • Cum Laude, Quality point average of 3.30鈥�3.64
  • Magna Cum Laude, Quality point average of 3.65- 3.94
  • Summa Cum Laude, Quality point average of 3.95- 4.00

Picking up Regalia

• To pick up regalia, graduates must come to the Registrar鈥檚 office from Monday through Thursday the week of graduation. The Registrar鈥檚 office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Caps, gowns, stoles, and other awarded medallions will be handed out to each graduate after approving their graduation information specifics (degree, spelling of the graduate鈥檚 name, honors, etc.). We will also need to verify that graduating seniors have completed the AGORA exit survey.
• Honors cords are not handed out until graduation rehearsal, as we must wait for final grades to make the calculations on honors.
• Any graduates not picking up their regalia should not expect to participate in the graduation ceremony
• Graduates must pick up their own regalia. No one will be allowed to pick up another graduate鈥檚 regalia.

Graduation Attire

• Men: Suit coats are not required, but ties should be worn. Dark slacks, dark socks and dark shoes are considered appropriate apparel for academic regalia occasions.
• Ladies: Business professional clothing should be worn under the robes. No flowers are to be worn or carried.
• Gowns will need to be pressed with a warm iron and hung to remove the wrinkles before the ceremony.
• According to the traditions of academic regalia, no jewelry or non-academic accessories should be worn on the outside of the robe. The only exceptions are the medallions and cords worn to indicate academic honors.

Bachelor鈥檚 degree students who complete all requirements for graduation during the fall or summer term are strongly urged to participate in Commencement in the following spring. Those who wish to receive their diplomas at the conclusion of the term of completion and do not plan to return for Commencement in the following spring may submit a letter to the Registrar requesting a waiver from Commencement. To be considered for a fall or summer graduation date, all course work must be completed by the final day of the semester and official transcripts for transient work must also be submitted by this date. Students who choose this option must still complete the Intent to Graduate Form.
